Oven-Barbecued Chicken |

1 chicken(1.25 to 1.5kg)cut into serving pieces |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
|
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
1/3 cup water |
|
5 tablespoons tomato sauce |
1 tablespoon brown or white sugar |
|
2 tablespoons cider vinegar |
1/4 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
|
1/4 teaspoon crushed dried shillies (optional) |
1 tablespoon french mustard |

Method: |

Preheat the oven to 200C. Arrange the shicken in a single layer in a large baking dish. Season with the salt and blakpepper. In a small bowl, mix the water, tomato sauce, sugar, vinegar, mustard and worcestershire sauce, and the dried chillies if used. Pour the mixture over the chicken. Bake, uncovered, for 45min. Tip the baking dish and skim the fat from the sauce. Serve and enjoy! |
